On February 10, Poland closes the border crossing with Belarus in Bobrovniki. The Minister of the Interior and Administration of the country, Mariusz Kaminski, wrote about this on his Twitter page.
The head of the Polish department said in a statement that the decision was made “due to the important interests of national security until further notice.”
The checkpoint will be closed from 12:00 Friday, February 10. The Berestovitsa checkpoint in the Grodno region borders on the Bobrovniki on the Belarusian side.
The State Border Committee of Belarus, commenting on the situation, said that it had already received an official notification from the Polish border agency about the termination of the registration of vehicles and persons that follow through the specified checkpoint. Drivers are asked to consider this information when planning trips to Poland.
Since November 9, 2021, the border crossing “Kuznica Belostotskaya” (from the Belarusian side – “Bruzgi”) has been closed, after a spontaneous camp of migrants appeared on the Belarusian-Polish border. Then the decision was also made by Warsaw unilaterally, the State Border Committee stressed. Domachevo and Peschatka checkpoints with Poland also do not work.
As a result, from February 10, only Brest and Kozlovichi will remain active checkpoints on the Belarusian-Polish border. Both of them are located in the Brest region. The first passes cars and buses, and the second – only trucks.
