IMF expects economic activity in Finland to stall in 2023

Finland’s economic activity is expected to stall in 2023, the International Monetary Fund forecast on Monday, adding that it is projected to start recovering in 2024 and return to a subdued trend rate of around 1.25%.

In a statement following the Executive Board 2022 Article IV Consultation with Finland, the IMF said the country’s headline inflation is expected to remain at about 4.5% in 2023, and to return to the 2% target in the medium term.
